To make a gingerbread house you need to prepare the following ingredients:
Cake house frame:
260g granulated sugar
75g butter
7g cinnamon powder
7g clove powder
240ml of fresh milk
3.5g baking soda baking soda
2kg of flour
492g corn syrup
Ice cream part:
320g powdered sugar
1 egg white
1 teaspoon vinegar
Sugar icing
Other materials:
Stencils are 25x25cm in size
Heart-shaped frame, heart
Pearl beads for decoration
Icing of all kinds of colors
The navy blue mint candy is crushed
Adhesive:
1kg of powdered sugar
Making dough to frame the cake house: Put sugar, butter, syrup, cinnamon powder and cloves in a saucepan and place on a stove to heat the mixture completely, then add milk, stir and let cool. In another bowl mix flour with baking soda. When the liquid mixture cools, add the dry mixture to the kneading thoroughly, then cover with a plastic wrap to overnight in the refrigerator. |
Cake sample: Cut pieces of parchment paper of the following size (2 – the parts after being cut and baked) – Two gables: measure stencils to cut with 3 sides with a width of 15cm, a roof length of 11cm and a gable height of 18cm. – A wall behind the rectangle is 27cm long and 15cm wide. Heart shaped print in the middle – A front wall is about the same size as the wall behind 27x15cm but has additional doors. The front door is slightly rounded with a width of 6.5cm and 10cm height. There are side windows with a height of 7cm and 4cm wide. – 2 rectangular roof tiles with a width of 27cm and a height of 13.5cm. |
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius, place the dough on a flat surface, laminate it and place the cut paper samples over the dough, using a pointed knife to cut the dough in the pattern. Use heart molds to cut hearts at the gable or the back wall. The cookie dough on the front door is separate. Cut more hearts to make the roof tile. |
Sprinkle the crushed chunky candy into the cut hearts, then take the gingerbread frame and bake for about 10 minutes. After baking the cake to cool. |
Making cream: add egg whites, vinegar, powdered sugar to bowl, harden with beaters. Cover tightly so that the mixture is not exposed to air. Place in an ice cream parchment bag, decorate the cake pan on any window, wall or roof. |
Glue: melt the sugar until it turns into a paste, the same color as a cake – you have to pay special attention because the sugar is very flammable. |
Assemble cake: Assemble hearts on the roof by dipping your heart into the glue paste. Similarly to assemble the edges of the house. You can use a spoon to sprinkle the sugar syrup in to make it more sticky. |
After assembling the cake, you can use the rest of the cream to decorate the cake as ice, sprinkle with icing sugar to create a snow effect for the house more beautiful. |
